Shore Juniper (Juniperus conferta Parl.)
Also known as blue Pacific juniper; also classified as Juniperus rigida var. conferta (Parl.) Patschke.
Some authorities, including POWO, treat this as a variety of Juniperus rigida, specifically as var. conferta. We separate them, per the treatment of BONAP and FSUS. If separated, J. rigida does not occur in the wild in North America.

This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
POWO shows this taxon as established in California, but we could not find any specific records, and it is not listed in Calflora under any of its synonyms, nor is it reported by BONAP, so we tentatively report it as not occurring there.
