Northern Dwarf Huckleberry (Gaylussacia bigeloviana (Fernald) Sorrie & Weakley)
Also known as bog huckleberry.
A number of older sources lump this species in with Gaylussacia dumosa, often as var. bigeloviana. Some sources including USDA PLANTS do not even recognize any sub-taxa of that species. When grouped together the taxon is referred to by the common name "dwarf huckleberry"; we recommend adding the descriptors "northern/southern" to the common names to communicate that you are separating the taxa. We treat them as separate species.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is also native to eastern Canada; we have yet to build this portion of its map.
