Northern Swamp Buttercup (Ranunculus caricetorum Greene)
Also known as swamp buttercup, marsh buttercup, swamp crowfoot; also classified as Ranunculus hispidus var. caricetorum (Greene) T.Duncan.
USDA PLANTS and BONAP both treat this taxon as a variety of bristly buttercup (Ranunculus hispidus), var. caricetorum. We separate it as its own species per the treatment of POWO and FSUS.
