Black Raspberry: Second-year Canes and Unripe Fruit

This is a plant I transplanted into an area where I removed wineberries (Rubus phoenicolasius) and Japanese honeysuckle.

The darkest berry here is not quite ripe. Ripe berries are just a tiny bit darker purple, almost black in color.
