Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is widely cultivated for wine production, and as a result has spread into the wild on numerous sites west of its native range. We mark new populations expanded when close to its native range, but the Utah populations we treat as introduced because they are separated by great distance.
