Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This weedy plant thrives in disturbed habitats, including roadsides, and as such has expanded greatly eastward and northwest, into formerly forested regions that are now fragmented by roads and filled with more open anthropogenic habitats.
