Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species was formerly widely cultivated in gardens, but in recent years it has not been as widely grown. As a result of its former widespread planting, it has established in the wild east of its native range; we mark the new range as expanded because it is close to the native range, separated only by short distances not any longer than exist in its native range.
