Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is occasionally cultivated in gardens, and can escape into the wild, where it can survive in both natural and anthropogenic habitats. Different sources draw different lines about where this species is native, but we based our map on BONAP's treatment, and marked the new range expanded because it is mostly contiguous with the native range, with only small gaps.
