Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This small annual vine has been spread around by the moving of soil and rock, and has been reported outside its native range growing in railroad ballast, dumps, and borrow pits. We mark these populations because they are spreading on their own and taking advantage of new habitats created by humans, and they are relatively connected to the native range. Due to the long dormancy of the seeds, this species may have been spread more widely than reports suggest, and may increase slowly over time.
