Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This aquatic plant has been introduced to a number of sites in the interior of the US, north of its native range. We marked the Minnesota population introduced and the others expanded because of their proximity to its native range, but all populations could perhaps be marked introduced.
