Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This inconspicuous weedy plant has expanded dramatically into southern Illinois, with scattered populations beyond. It seems to be spreading on its own, likely taking advantage of humans creating the exposed, disturbed habitats it favors. Because it gets little attention, this plant is likely underreported.
