Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This is a weedy species that is largely spreading on its own in North America, taking advantage of anthropogenic habitats including roadsides and pastureland, but also sometimes colonizing natural areas. We marked the population in California's central valley introduced because it is isolated from the rest of this species' range.
