Native or Introduced |
This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species has been introduced to sites north of its native range, as escapes from landscaping. These populations could perhaps also be marked as expanded due to proximity to the native range, but we mark them as introduced because they are largely isolated, and because this species is uncommon at the northern borders of its native range and shows little evidence of expanding northward from this range. We may update our maps if we see evidence that this is changing.
