This Artemisia vulgaris was growing in a disturbed riparian area, on the border of a mowed patch of grass and a steep slope that was not mowed. The stems from last year show that it had been allowed to grow upright andt flowered and set seed the previous year. It looks like one of the dominant plants in the area.
