Stiff Dogwood (Cornus foemina Mill.)
Also known as swamp dogwood; also classified as Cornus stricta Lam., Swida stricta (Lam.) Small.
Some sources, including the Indiana Plant Atlas, treat gray dogwood (Cornus racemosa) as a subspecies of this one, subsp. racemosa. We separate them per POWO, BONAP, and most other authorities.
