Summary

An evergreen shrub native to East Asia, widely used in landscaping, and established in the wild in the southeastern U.S. where it can sometimes be invasive.

This species is widely planted in the US and is in the process of spreading into the wild and likely has high invasive potential. It may occur in more ecoregions than reported here as its numbers in the wild are increasing.
