European Red Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.)
This taxon is still treated by many authorities to contain both native and introduced populations, distinguished as ssp. idaeus frome Europe and ssp. strigosus native to North America. We have split them into separate species, per Weakley's treatment in FSUS, so this taxon refers only to introduced populations. Native populations have been separated into American red raspberry (Rubus strigosus).

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species has also been introduced in eastern Canada; we have yet to build this portion of its range map.
