Large-tooth Aspen (Populus grandidentata Michx.)
Also known as bigtooth aspen, big-tooth aspen, large-toothed aspen, American aspen, white poplar; also classified as A tree of northeastern North America, preferring slightly drier sites than quaking aspen.

↑Habitat
Most common on floodplains, rolling terrain, and lower slopes of upland areas. Most aboundant on sandy soils, but can grow on most soil types. Tolerates drier conditions than quaking aspen, and requires well-aerated soil for good growth.
Limited to early-successional stages of habitats where it occurs; often found on sites that have experienced recent disturbance such as fire or logging.
