Cucumber Tree (Magnolia acuminata (L.) L.)

A large tree usually growing with a straight trunk, the tallest and most cold-tolerant of the Magnolia species native to eastern North America. Common in much of the northern part of its range, but uncommon to rare in both southern, western, and eastern portions of its range.
